What makes Birdwell Beach Britches different from other board shorts?
Every pair of Birdwells is handcrafted in Santa Ana, California, using our proprietary SurfNyl™ fabric. Our double-layer construction and reinforced stitching ensure they are 'Quality is Our Gimmick' guaranteed, lasting for generations rather than seasons.
How do I find the right fit for my britches?
Our classic board shorts run true to size but do not stretch. We recommend measuring your actual waistline or comparing with a pair of non-stretch chinos. If you are between sizes, we suggest sizing up for a more comfortable fit.
What is your return and exchange policy?
We offer returns and exchanges on unworn, unwashed items with original tags attached within 30 days of purchase. Please note that custom 'Pick Your Own' orders are final sale and cannot be returned.
How long will it take for my order to ship?
Standard in-stock items typically ship within 2-3 business days. For custom or 'Built-to-Order' items, please allow 4-6 weeks for our craftsmen to hand-cut and sew your gear in our California factory.
Do you offer a repair service?
Yes! We believe in the longevity of our products. If your Britches need a tune-up, we offer a repair service for a nominal fee to fix seams, buttons, or minor tears to keep your gear in the water longer.
How should I care for my SurfNyl™ products?
To extend the life of your Birdwells, rinse them with fresh water after every surf to remove salt and sand. Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle and always hang dry. Avoid the dryer as high heat can damage the nylon fibers.
